Travelling to Greece in May.
Due to various , have used points to Singapore on Qantas and then paid Qatar to Athens.
what chance of getting luggage tagged for final destination, if we can , how? which saves immigration and re checking in in Singapore.

Being Award on Qantas connecting to revenue oneworld, it should happen.

However, when checking in the staff may still refuse to do so.

^ Exemptions apply for customers travelling on a oneworld separate PNRs when using a combination of award travel and revenue travel. Note: This is a Qantas exemption and may not be supported by all oneworld airlines.

Seem to get conflicting info. Hopefully Q staff will be kind at checkin. Will respond on success

Currently you have to be on the same itinerary to "transit" at Changi, so as it stands at the moment you won't be able to - you'll have to clear immigration and check in with QR again. However May is a fair while away time wise so everything could change in that time.

I thought that had changed?

Even if not changed, in a practical sense, it basically has, although a RAT may be needed.

(Unless Qantas checking refuse to through check anyway).

Changi says you need to have onward sector on same ticket and luggage checked through with luggage tags for onward sector

Changi does not know what’s on your ticket so practically your need boarding passes and luggage tags for onward sector issued prior to arrival into SIN

If not able then, then collect luggage, immigration at SIN, then checkin for next flight
