I think use of IATA Cabin codes works best - I hope I have these right - if not boomy will soon tell me šŸ˜

I actually thought the thrust of this thread may have been of interest if loadings for any airline currently flying - was never intended as SQ only.

I have another 2 flights this weekend and will post loadings then but if no further interest down the track I will let it die - the market is never wrong

I find it interesting to see the loadings. I suspect most of us don't quite engage with the crew as much, or have a crew that wouldn't be as willing to share. But I tend to look at the seat map on ExpertFlyer (when it's working) after a flight departs. You can't see for some carriers (eg. EK), but on SQ it's quite accurate (+/- a few infants).

I also always take a squiz at the arrivals monitor when I'm handing over the arrivals card and smartgate docket to officials when exiting MEL, that lists the various arriving flights and their loadings. Although you have do it subtly ....

Gee - I wonder why flights are so expensive?

And why that is not serviced by 777 or 380 beggars belief

Scoot's equivalent flight (11am SIN-MEL ) during July has been routinely charging $1000 for economy one way - without bags or meals.

Just had a quick chat with IFM on 807 - SQ loadings across the board for July running at ~88% - that is ~equal to highest ever pre Covid - albeit pre Covid there was more flts - how many more he was not sure - does that tell you anything? Prolly not

The percentage of seats occupied on the above flights is very high, especially when considered as a 'rule of thumb' that five per cent of booked passengers on any mode (air, rail etc.) won't turn up on the day for numerous reasons.

The only time I asked an SQ cabin crew for the loadings, she returned 10 minutes later with each class delineated in beautiful handwriting, on a serviette. I was impressed.

Keep up the good work: it's of interest.

I reckon it indicates the gap left by the Chinese carriers. Is there any news when they will return in pre Covid numbers?
