Hi all it’s been a some time since I posted. My Question is has any one noticed that Singapore has blocked all first class booking from Australia and back.

I recently booked a first class seat Syd to Sin on the Feb 5th, all good. Now I want to book a return on the 26th and first class is not coming up in any Search.

I called Singapore and they could not tell me what was going on, and offered to wait list me. This was not for a points ticket, but a fully paid for ticket. So can any of you shed some light on this.

and I know this is a leap of faith to book a flight but it’s for 2022 so I live in hope.

It has been reported here that SQ has taken all first class of their timetable until the end of February 2022.

Mrscove is quite disappointed as she was thinking about New Years Eve 2021 in London while i was thinking Los Angeles.
Back to Sydney will probably be the pick.

I found this out last week - being an occasional optimist I started looking at a Dec trip to UK (wife's family etc). SQ have a near normal sched online with F avail on 777 and several Syd 380s flts. So I progressed to asking our T/Agent to make a booking in the basis no money has to change hands for a few months, as no doubt fwd scheds/aircraft etc wud change. Her reply was what you hv severally found: not accepting any F bookings. Acc to our T/A SQ will apparently review this on a rolling 3 month basis. Given they only flying A350s to Aust at present (think thats right..) there wud only be F onwards from SIN. So they are keeping their online scheds up as a sort of window dressing I guess.

According to Mile Lion, SQ is restoring F service on SIN-SYD (and a few other routes) from June.

Bad news. Just what we need (not), more premium seats into Australia.

I noticed MileLion showed waitlists for SIN-SYD for F in Saver and Advantage for travel in June. These waitlists will almost certainly not clear. Cash is the only way to get flights to Australia, whatever cabin.

Redemptions for F/R became visible again a few days ago I noticed. Which is good as I’m looking to book one for late May 2022.
