At Swissotel right now. Booked base King (city) upgraded to Executive (City).
Lounge is indeed amazing. Evening canapes are solid. You can definitely have a dinners worth and its reasonably decent food. I think they rotate a few Singaporean specials along with their staples. Had chilli crab sauce+ mantou one day and laska today.
Breakfast at the lounge has a solid spread and you can usually find a table. Clove had a line out the door today at 9:30. We also tried Asian Market which is also available and that's a bit quieter but still busy. They have most of the asian spread like Nasi Lemak (can't compare to Sofitel KL though - freshly fried chicken...) and Teh Tarik on tap.
When we checked in at the lounge (and I definitely suggest to all Plat+/Executive room) to check in at Lounge, our lovely host told us the best place to use the welcome drink is at ANTI: DOTE (at the Fairmont). Very nice bar and has a bunch of coughtails available. Solid Singaporean Sling although can't compare to Long Bar across the road at Raffles. Still recommend ANTI: DOTE. SKAI bar is great too but can't use welcome drink there.
You can also directly access Raffles City and the various restaurants and food courts there. Short walk to Bugis or Suntec as needed. Bugis area also has some top tier coffee hidden away.
