Sorry if this is a very basic question - I am planning tu use Qantas FF points for Singapore, KL and Penang. Can I use FF points for all legs of the journey? Singapore is the only leg that shows up as an option on the Qantas website. Are partner oneworld airline flights available through the Qantas website or are they booked via somewhere else?

I would not bother but its your points, there are plenty of low cost carriers that do KUL and PEN from SIN, I think there is a JAL flight to KUL once a day but could be wrong, other wise the other one world options would be via HKG in the case of CX to Penang which is a long way to go, or Jetstar as a QF partner. Fireflyand Air Asia hub out of PEN.

Yes dont waste your points.Today i was looking at our Asia trip for 2010.We dont want to stay in Singapore again and the only OW flight between KUL and SIN is the JL flight which is late at night and doesnt connect with the QF flight. So we are looking at the other options.
Malaysian KUL to SIN is 148 ringgit including taxes.
Air asia is 0,yep zip base fare-+25 R for taxes 5 R for a 15 kg bag or 55 R for a 20 kg bag.
So you can see it is really not a great use of points.
