Sin - Qc

Hi Guys,

First post here - been FF for some time, mainly on transtasman route.

Heading to LHR thru SIN on 21/02 - think i have an hour or two there.
Can anyone let me know if i will be allowed access to the QC at this time?

At SIN everyone deplanes for the short transit stop (assuming you are booked on one of the through flights - one flight number all the way). If you are eligible for lounge access (flying first, business, one world emerald, one world sapphire, qantas club, admirals club) then you can use the lounge in the brief stop. However it is a moderate distance from the gates used so there won't be a long time in the lounge before need to head back to the gate for boarding.

I have always found there is enough time for a shower in the lounge during a same-plane transit in SIN. But then again I walk very quickly through airports and manage to overatke most of the other arriving passengers to get ahead of them in the shower queue.

Also generally have enough time for some duty-free shopping, but the new EU rules banning liquids means there is now little point for that on the Europe-bound flight.

It's well worth checking out too - definitely one of the nicer OW lounges.

Last time I had a same-plane transit in SIN I managed to fit in a drink and a snack at the lounge, a browse through the shops, a duty-free purchase, a 10 minute wait while the DF shop assistant went away to get my free gift (JW Blue crystal glass ), and still got back to the gate with plenty of time to spare.

(My transit was under an hour ).

Actually not quite correct.

If you are travelling to a point in the EU and then continuing on, then yes you do need to be aware of the new rules on liquids.

However, if you're flying out of SIngapore and your flight ends in the EU then you're ok.
