Living in Darwin, I usually book my travel to Europe ex Singapore. However, I'm finding it difficult to book a QF flight SIN-LHR-BRU (LHR-BRU as BA or codeshare). BRU does not even show as a destination on QF's Singapore website, but does show on QF's Australian website if I try and book say DRW-SIN-LHR-BRU . Have QF simply stuffed up, or is there a logical reason why BRU does not show as a destination from SIN (all of BA's other destinations are listed)? The mystery deepens - when I go to Classic Awards, it does show as a bookable destination, but not under Any Seat Awards. I queried Qantas on this but got a 'form' response.
Very frustrating! No wonder QF has lost traction on its international routes!

Have you tried a 3rd party site such as Skyscanner or Zuji?

Why do you have to go through LHR to BRU? MI/SQ will take you there via ZUR to BRU (Velocity Points), and JQ (QF Codeshare) / AY will get you there via HEL (One World).

I know all other options, but (1) need stopover in London (at no extra cost), (2) QF/BA earn me FF/SC's

The real point is - QF SIN website booking engine is deficient - and Qantas seems complacent about fixing it!

When are you booking for? We gave up on OW on a trip to Europe this December (we were booking in May) as JQ/QF couldn't get their proverbial together to organise a codeshare so we could connect to AY. We didn't want to risk flying with two PNRs either (JQ and AY), so we went to MI/SQ. This was easy, although with internal flights ended up booking individual trips with AY, SK and DY. With status match and family pooling on Velocity, MI/SQ seemed a better option. Hopefully the lounge will open sometime soon (soon will be Dec 2013 at least).

The other thing to consider is Eurostar London to Brussels. Sure - no points for crossing the Channel, but at 2 hours 10 travel time, it must be quicker than plane.

Ichthys, other thought I had. Why not try through the BA website? They'd be the airline that would be connecting you to BRU anyway. If you are doing a stopover in London, then maybe depart from LCY.

Many thanks, yes the BA website works and I will probably book with them. It just annoys the hell out of me that Qantas SIN booking site omits BRU! Oh well, soon will have more options with EK, although I note they don't fly direct DXB-BRU so its horribly expensive (although CDG and a train trip might be the way to go).

Hadn't thought of CDG. A totally off the planet suggestion that will probably need agent's support if contemplated - JQ/QF DRW-SIN, AB on EY metal SIN-AUH, AUH-DUS, rail to Brussels, rail to London, then fly back again AB.

The mystery deepens - when I go to Classic Awards, it does show as a bookable destination, but not under Any Seat Awards.

Any Seat Awards are only for QF metal flights, as QF do not fly to BRU it is no surprise it doesnt show up.

As LHR-BRU would be a code-share, can you book to any other European destinations ex-SIN that are on a code-share? Could possibly be the code-share partner doesn't allow bookings ex-SIN.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
