What's the difference between the BA/QF F lounge and J lounge in Singapore?

More hot food? More booze?

I thought the J lounge was pretty good already... there's hot pizza, soup, coughtail bar, etc... Never been into the F lounge.

I noticed that the Jlounge has the OW emerald and saphire logo next to the entrance. Does that mean OW emeralds can't use the F lounge in singapore, unless travelling F?

Better food, drink and showers. Otherwise not much difference. OW emeralds can use SIN F lounge when flying OW (or anytime if QF Platinum).

The food was good on my visit there - brought round by staff. The lounge was a lot quieter than the J lounge - until a transit arrived and the lounge filled right up...

Is there any premium alcohol?

e.g. Jonnie Walker Blue Label or Dom Perignon Champagne?

I think both lounges are very good, but the Flounge is better. As other have said, the range of booze and food is better, and there is usually a shorter queu for a shower.

As a WP I get access to the Flounge when flying J with QF.

A very long walk, and you'll probably get wet. SG is Jetsgo (Canadian airline). Think you meant SQ - long walk but good exercise (assuming you don't just take the airtrain).

I don't know what Jetsgo is like as an airline, and although I know exercise is good for you, I think I will stick with the short walk from the QF gates to the QF Flounge. That is one of the great things with transiting at SIA, short walk into the Flounge, book the shower, sample booze/food, get buzzed for shower, sample booze/food again (repeat as necessary) short walk to gate again. All without clearing sustoms/immigration etc :D . Beats the hell out of LAX/LHR/FRA etc.

I thought that it was QPs that had the open doors facility to WPs rather than flounges. Do flounges allow it too?

I'm not sure on the policy, but I have always been admitted to the QF Flounges as a WP.

Basically those operated/built by/for Qantas; AKL & SIN for example.

If teh FLounge is part of the Qantas Club then a Platinum QF FF member has anytime access. If its a lounge used by Qantas but is not a Qantas Club location (e.g. LHR) then no anytime access for any QF FF members.
