SIN-BKK in Business - SQ or TG?

Evening AFF brains trust,

I'm flying SIN-BKK return later this year and it looks like there are no OneWorld options for that route, and discounting the budget carriers that appears to leave Singapore Air and Thai Airways as my two choices. I'll be flying Business and travelling with my wife.

I don't have any status with any Star Alliance airline so no FF program allegiance either way.

My gut says SQ but that's based only on my experience with them in F/Suites, and the TG cabin looks pretty innovative in their A321Neo which looks to be the aircraft we'd be on given our planned timings.

Does anyone have any recent experience with either SQ or TG in their regional Business class offerings or can offer an opinion either way?

Do you care about the food onboard? If so, SQ would win over TG with the Book the Cook service especially departing from SIN home port.

While SIN-BKK is eligible, the BTC menu is limited in a shorter regional flight.

Have flown both, though only been on TG economy as was always a320 but being such a short trip I would just choose the flight with the best timing.

SQ medium haul business is very a very compact setup.

Having not tried the A321Neo could make an interesting test flight. No bad choices in my opinion.

I ended up booking TG, the timings were pretty much identical, it was 75% the price of the SQ flights and I get the A350 one way and A321Neo the other so get the opportunity to try two new cabins.
