Hi all

I don't fly QF much at all, so finding this answer is proving surprisingly hard! I have a PER-MEL flight booked. Upgraded to a U fare. I'm looking at the original itinerary and have no idea how to tell the class.

Anyway, I need to cancel. I know I should expect to get 5000 less points back, but what happens with the fare paid?

I hate asking such a simple question.

Thanks mate. That's my biggest problem. I can't see anywhere on the original itinerary what class it is! Is there a way I can find out? Surely there is.

That's what I'm looking at! But nowhere in the email or PDF itinerary does it say anything more than "Economy", no "red-e deal" or flex or anything.

Where does it normally say the booking type or code?

Just call QF as they will be able to access the historical fare conditions based on the original fare ticketed. Keep in mind that just because you may upgrade with points to Business (U) Class does not mean that your booking will take on those conditions as the rules will still be as per the original booking class.

Yep, thought so. Thanks all.

To explain, that was my original action, but after 66 minutes on hold I gave up. I'm bronze obviously.. Is that the usual kind of wait?
