Had the recent pleasure of dropping from Gold to Silver.
Looking at Silver benefits it seems no WiFi is part of the benefits. Only now with Gold.
Was it ever part of Silver or am I imagining things?

I must admit that I thought it was a HH benefit to even blue.

I recall it being complimentary for HH golds ands plats, at least in the past few years.

I know that your question was not about getting back to Gold, However, you may wish to try and to get back to Gold because it is the sweet spot.

You may already know that from time to time there are 4-stay fast-track offers to Gold available. These come and go. Loyalty Lobby seems to know what's on offer at any given time. There's details of offers (targeted to
specific groups/organisations, however) here, to give you an idea:

Hilton HHonors Instant Silver Status + Fast Track To Gold After Four Stays Within 90 Days | LoyaltyLobby

Hilton HHonors Gold Fast Track Offer: Instant Silver + Gold Status until 03/2016 For 3 Stays Within 90 Days (Targeted) | LoyaltyLobby

Also, you can subscribe to LoyaltyLobby, to recieve updates, including other Hilton HHonors general fast-tracks that may come along and which you are eligible for.

And you may want to keep an eye on this thread, on FlyerTalk, the Hilton HHonors Gold VIP Status Short Cuts: Fast Track, Instant, Challenges & Comps:

Hilton HHonors Gold VIP Status Short Cuts: Fast Track, Instant, Challenges & Comps - FlyerTalk Forums

Also, there's no harm in contacting HHonors directly to see if they will provide you with a fast-track offer. I did this some years ago got gold for the first time with a general 4-stay offer.

Then there's always the Hilton HHonors Macquarie Platinum card, if that suits (or it may not).

Good suggestions by DC3 regarding the Fast Track to Gold.
Don't ever recall free wifi being offered to Silver or Blue members.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Was mrsdrron Gold or Diamond when the bookings were made?

I've just checked with Hilton near me ... net result appears to be Silver is worthless.
A bit of water and some HH extra points. Mmmm disappointed about WiFi when a lot of other chains seem to have started rolling WiFi up for just being a member of their porgram (so they can market to you I presume).

I understand Gold is the sweet spot, I'm just unable to get to it based on Hilton not being at the locations I now need to visit or the pricing being rather 'exorbitant' vs similar chains at the time.
