So, I help my pensioner mother get a ticket to MEL-LHR with SIA in May returning June. When I was searching originally, I could find prices on W class fares for $2150 odd. When I searched last week, price had gone up to $2450 for a H class fare and my mum booked.
Today I see notice about SIA going back on sale for flights May-Jul again so I look it up and W class fares are available on the same flights for $2050.
My mum wants to go A380 on SIA and I can't convince her to go EY for a much cheaper price on a 777. Being a pensioner, every penny saved is worth it.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions we can use to try and get either a refund or some other bonus or the likes from SIA since the price has gone done for a sale?
The worst case scenario here is that we cancel the flight for the $120 fee and then rebook back on the new fare price. So we have nothing to lose by trying.
