Should I stay or should I go (EuroZone)

I think there’s an anger then about we give them all this money, and then they come take our jobs (east euro)....
Let me get this straight here, jobs that nobody else wanted. Working in a bar, Hotel cleaner, coffee shop barista, asparagus picker. I hardly ever saw the English, throw themselves on these jobs. Low paid, low skill jobs. Anyway, competition is good.

Have you seen how many come over to the East to work? Heaps. I am not sure you want to go back to the cold war era. However, if you were too please remember in Poland's case, how it was given away at Yalta Conference to Stalin in Feb 1945. You (UK)lived in prosperity while Poland continues to fight a war for decades. The killings continued into the '60s. I mention one name here "Pielciki" look him up ...see how a patriotic Pole was treated one that wasn't under the influence of ZSSR.
(Witold Pilecki - Wikipedia ). Many Poles were put to death during this time by judges and prosecutors who were Communist and Jewish. Jews dominated the court system in communist Poland after the 2nd WW, several communist officials are responsible for the 1953 execution of Polish General Emil August Fieldorf by the Soviet NKVD secret police, highlighting their Jewish origins. Those listed as culpable for the murder of Fieldorf – a former commander of the Polish Home Army that fought on the Allied side during the war – included “military prosecutor Helena Wolińska-Brus, a Polish communist Jewish activist, Beniamin Wajsblech, a Jewish prosecutor, Paulina Kern, a judge of Jewish origin, Maria Gurowska, a judge of Jewish origin, Advocate Emil Merz of Jewish origin, Gustaw Auscaler, a Polish advocate of Jewish descent.”

Poland was always near bankruptcy. Poland was under communist rule.....their legacy remains as PO and SLD parties today. They are the children of the previous oppressors, who have a vested interest that Poland remains weak and divided. Poland became technically free in 1989. I prefer 1st May 2004 when it joined the EU. It was previously free only for 20 Years after the 1st WW and before the 2nd WW. Before that, it did not exist for 123 years.

CaptJCool do you think it was fun and games living under communist rule and with Stalin? My parents did they have vivid memories/nightmares until now. Affected psychology, fear of speaking...etc...etc. That's after surviving the 2nd world war. My family lived under German rule in Poland during this time they protected their friends (who were Jews) Protecting jews was punishable by death. Poland was the only country to receive a decree to that effect from the governor of Warsaw at the time Fischer(German WWII Poster - naz_-German announcement of the introduction of the death penalty for Jews leaving the ghettos and for Poles helping them; dated Nov. 10th, 1941). I have never received a thank you or an acknowledgement of this deed. Concentration camps like Auschwitz were exclusively for killing Poles for the first year and a half of existence. Then the Jews came. (Also Fact). They were not Polish camps but German. I don't use naz_ as it waters down responsibility. naz_ was a culture, not people.

Now Poland will be bankrupt again very soon due to rule/section 447 which Trump is pushing Poland to accept. This means all property of Jews without an inheritance be passed on to a separate Trust. Not the country like every other country in Europe. The sums mentioned are in the Billions if not more. Poland does not have much cash so the government will need to bequeath properties. Huge parcels of properties will come under foreign rule and probably a new state will be formed. Does not look good.

You are worried about a few jobs in the UK taken by East(euro). Honestly, you don't know how good you have it. Travel the world have a job anywhere even Australia. The dole was pretty good in the UK as many were able to live a good life while on it.

Poland never received any war reparations from Germany.....just imagine what the level standard of living in Poland if it received that? The infrastructure builds possible, services etc...All of the UK would be there in the middle of Europe to benefit. All those famous paintings were stolen from Museums have never been returned save a very few.

At the moment you don't have much time before Poland changes for good. This is the time to visit before all changes.
You can see the change happening every day. Youtube owner Susan Wojcicki herself Russian Jewish origin with Grandfather a well known Pole has been demonetising and blocking services in Poland. Just because it did not suit here agenda.

You have limited time before Poland gets wiped off the map completely. Ruling 447 will soon come into effect. There will be a vast change in Poland. There will be three types of people, Rulers, their helpers and the rest.

Goodbye Poland

Please, the Lefty Polish People. I don't need your comments.

This piece by a Labor guy better explains the gist of what I was intending to say

Brexit isn’t a left or right debate

Despite what the left may prefer, we aren’t going to see Leftist govt in democracies anytime soon. Most People prefer aspiration and wealth over socialism and sanctions of a one party state.

Despite what the right may prefer, we do need maintain relative professional progressive taxation and equity cached with a social safety net.

Nice article. Well balanced and takes the time to try and explain some of the issues. As a Europhile and having lived in England I fully understand why Brexit is happening and why it's so difficult: I can see both sides arguments and both are valid. There really is no easy solution.

Will be very interesting to see the end result: brexit completed but potentially the end of the UK as well...

I've always thought that the EU needs the UK more than the UK needs them. The UK will be free to trade with the rest of the world, not just that bloc.

Well, it's happened the UK is free from the bloc. It took some time. I pray for Boris Johnson; it was indeed a shock to FIND out he was in ICU LAST NIGHT.
