Shortest RPT Flight Flown

Showing my age here but I remember back in 74 as a kid traveling to the UK on QF's Kangaroo Route. A variant of the milk run on the 747-2xx was SYD-SIN-KUL-BAH-CIA (Rome) -LHR and returned LHR-AMS-BAH-SIN-SYD. I would imagine the SIN-KUL (184mi) and LHR-AMS (230mi) sectors were been reasonably busy. I recall a couple of the QF Captains on those sectors included Captain Quinn and Henderson - obviously long gone now. On these sectors they had crew changes in each of Bahrain and Singapore. When QF was doing the LHR-MAN sectors were they the same crew who did the SIN-LHR sectors and base the tech crew in MAN or did a new crew do the LHRMAN-LHR sectors?

The shortest sector I've been on is TLV-AMM (67mi) on Royal Jordanian.

Shortest sector I've done is TLL-HEL @ 62mi, so just shorter! I'm sure someone has done an even shorter sector than that.

As a pax the shortest RPT sector I have ever done is BNE-OOL, 51nm.

Do any of the pilots remember an RPT/ route BNE-OOL? It might have been around the mid 80s on either TAA or Ansett?

It did exist in the late 90's/early 00's as a DH3 milk run down the coast ... maybe via CFS/PQQ/NTL to SYD

My shortest RPT sector was ISA-CNJ at 66nm.

I have also flown the previously mentioned AMM-TLV sector on RJ (my only RJ flight).

My shortest is Nadi - Malolo lailai at 26 kms. Don't think the route still exists as most transfers are by boat or private flights by seaplane

Woah these are short! As an ex hostie the CBR-SYD dinner service back a few years ago always used to be a struggle..... I’ll never forget doing an adhoc service once on a 767. It made the 55 minute Kalgoorlie - Perth days on the Fokker 100 (with full hot meal service) seem easy!!!

Shortest RPT flight was NRA-GFF at 40nm. Shortest sector to date was BWU-SYD in the Saab. Departed on 11C and joined downwind for 16R.

Pre Gulf war many expatriates leaving Dhahran would elect to get long haul flights from Bahrain. Dhahran has been replaced by Dammam (and the causeway) but back in day it was an expensive 27 mile flight.

Where I’ve taken the stand alone flight, TMW-ARM, 60 miles. As a sector enroute IVR-GLI, 36 miles.

STR-FRA at 88NM. Upon boarding we were given a water bottle and bag of nuts because there was no time for service. I think that boarding took longer than the flight.

I was also on a Hazelton or REX flight in the early 2000's that was doing multiple stops in the central west of NSW. Orange to Bathurst was 26NM and we landed in a squall with a cross wind so strong that i vividly remember seeing the start of the runway out of my window.

And here I was thinking the TKU-HEL I did back in time a few rounds of was short (20-25 mins in air). It's about 90mi. Water & nuts as service and whopping 10 minutes with the seatbelt sign off.
