I have 2 SQ flights booked, on the one ticket.
First one arrives in SIN at 2pm, and the connecting flight leaves at 1am, so approx 11 hours.
In this case, is there an issue with checking in the bags only to SIN in the first place.
Then recheck in for the second flight in SIN?

There should be no problems. You just need to explain to the checkin staff for the first leg that you want your bags at the stopover, so not to check the bags straight through to the final destination.

I don't know if you can still get boarding passes for the second leg on the first leg checkin, or if you need to check in again after the stopover. I think the latter, from memory.
