just got email from velocity

"For 2 days only, score 15% bonus Velocity Points when you transfer your flybuys points into Velocity Points (ending midnight tomorrow)"

would be handy if the bonus points i'm waiting for come through in time!

Edit: Doesn't appear to be targeted

Now I wonder if that's why the Coles prepaid MC points are taking so long to show up - a six figure amount are eagerly awaited...

The first family account got an email 2 hours ago and the 2nd one came in 6 minutes ago.

i hope it's not targeted, as bonus points hit my account on the weekend. I only wish it was 6 figures!!

Transferred 10k flybuys points this morning. Base and 15% instantly reflected in VFF balance (5003VFF).

Gotta say i'm pretty impressed.

me too. Although this has now cemented my plan that I will always wait for a bonus offer to transfer! :D

Same here. Shame about the annual transfer cap to Velocity as I've built up a collection of FB points through the Coles MC GC offers. Was resigned to sending them to EY but would prefer to send them all to Velocity to redeem via SQ.

Only have to wait 2 weeks as it is per calendar year.
Unfortunately Flybuys isn't letting me transfer to Velocity.Or in view of recent problems Velocity isn't accepting them.

Mrs andye and I are both capped out but don't see the value in transferring in Jan without the bonus

So....still trying to ascertain whether Bunnings Gift Cards bought at Coles will trigger Status Credits. maccaisking indicates they have for his account. Flybuys Rep indicates ALL gift card purchases DON'T trigger SC's

Any other real world experiences out there?

I ask as +1 is only 16 SC's away from Gold requal, and we will be about 8 short after normal spend. $400 in Bunnings gets us over the line if they count, but don't want to do that if there is no gain :)

Cheers in advance

Can anyone Officially confirm whether or not Bunnings GC's purchased at Coles qualify for Flybuys points? I recently bought a Pressure Cleaner from Bunnings using GC's & languished at the thought of a $150 cash spend on GC's not earning any points.

However, if Bunnings GC's or even better Bunnings accepted FB cards I'd be Very Happy, as a new Bunnings store is opening a 5 min walk away.

I'm also waiting for another bonus offer before I transfer this year's quota. I suspect we might get another chance. Then a matter of deciding whether t participate in buying more CGMC assuming there are more FB promos for them in 2017 like we've had in 2016.

December's double SCs came through this morning-Christmas meant 50 SCs family-pooled this month for mrs andye

Was actually searching this thread to find out when Decembers SC's would hit my account - checked my VFF after reading Andye's post, gone from 2 SC's to 22SC's this morning. Nice little jump.

I've been scouring local Coles stores checking to see who has stock of these in anticipation of a new bonus point offer coming my way.

I've almost spend the last of the 44 x $100 of these I purchased from the last round.

As a data point, last month they arrived on the 7th, this month the 6th.

I picked up 12 SC and Mrs Mac picked up 10 (ours all pool to her as she flys for work each week). Although GCs are excluded, based on our spending it appears that Only1 and Bunnings still trigger SCs, Coles Gift MC does not, unsure about Coles/Myer. I had concerns about Mrs Mac requalifying for Gold given the SC cuts from flying with Virgin which soon come into effect (she flys each week, about half are paid flights half are reward) but with the double SC months and a few of her flights in Nov/Dec triggering double SC she will get there easily.

Another data point- can confirm that my Coles/Myer Group gift card purchase did not trigger any status credits (as expected).

Dear Dr. Ralph

I missed that offer. What was It?

Dr Ralph, did you get bonus flybuys points per GC or just stock up to maximise a CC spend?

If those cards also had an activation fee of 5.95,
44 x 5.95 = $261.80 Just on activation fees

Just stopped into Coles Eastgardens (Sydney) and plenty of supply of eftpos GCs of all denominations for the current 2000 FB point offer. Picked up a $100 one.

It was bonus points per card. So this offset the fee.

Was in Nov 2016. Comes up around 3 times a year.

$100 Prepaid mastercard gets you 1000 Flybuys.

So with the activation fee its fairly cost neutral.
