Hi All,
I travelled to Sydney to London and back in 2022 with China Eastern in Business and transiting Shanghai both ways was a bit of a nightmare (health declaration, officialdom, etc). I'm looking at going again with them in March (it's a money thing!) and wondering if Shanghai is easier these days? Anyone been through there lately? Thanks!

We are departing from PVG in about a week but no transit sorry.
We did an International to domestic transit at KMG a couple of days ago and it wasn’t stressful although took a good 2hrs at immigration. Thankfully bags were checked through which probably saved us a bit more.

No more health declarations, and as Aussies have visa-free entry to China (don’t even need transit-without-visa) it’s all pretty simple. Was there in April this year and last week as well. We were out of the airport within 20 mins of pulling up to the gate (or on the way to the next plane when in transit)
