Does anyone have any suggestions of the best (price and time) methods of transfer from SFO to Fishermans Wharf and return:?:

Head up to the departure level and head outside. There is the road that runs past the terminal cross that and you'll see a range of shuttle vans. Find one and tell them where you've got to get to, it'll prob cost around $15 or $16 (plus tip) but they will drive you to your hotel. - This is what I did last week.

Keep in mind that if you have 3 or more people it'd be getting pretty close to on par with a taxi (which is arounds $40)

Thanks serfty and harvyk,

I have done both of these previously but was wondering if there are other options. For this trip with SWMBO and luggage the shuttle wind hands down.;)

If you are going there and coming back the same day, why would you cart your luggage with you?

SFO has a luggage storage facility that is reasonably priced.

I have used this also.

The BART R/T is USD16.20 each - total USD32.40 takes 30 minutes e/w SFO/Embarcadero.

The shuttleS take longer and are from USD30 for 2 each way - total USD60+.

I can also recommend the BART (as long as stations aren't closed for flooding!), and the luggage storage place at SFO (Near the United check-in area IIRC).

There is also a shower place there next door to the luggage place, which came in handy.

Luggage Storage isn't 24/7, I think they close about 11pm at night - so important to check before using.

We are staying two nights, hence the need for luggage.

Well that changes everything.:D

I did not get that from your OP:
I knew what I meant:!:
