Easy check in and immigration process
Wandered for a while
Then headed to the lounge. Able to have a shower and bits and pieces to eat
Heavy downpour outside as we started our pushback
Able to get a decent sleep in before waking somewhere over Qld.
One of the crew came to me about 10 minutes after I woke up to offer me breakfast.
Coming into Sydney
Had quite a few packets of almonds for people back home. Declared the on my customs form, quick look by the agent and then straight through.
Bag drop was quick, however security to transfer to the domestic terminal was a nightmare. At least 50 minutes in line, with only 1 scanner line operating.
Wasn't the worst aspect of the day however. Seated in business on a 737 to Perth, young bloke about 15 or 16 seated next to me. Young bloke had a cold with quite a runny nose. And no tissues. Nose was wiped with his hand, and cleaned on his pants, shirt, side of the cabin, seat, anywhere he could. I spent the 4 hours or so leaning as far as I could into the aisle. Not a great way to end the trip.
Despite not reaching my goal, I did enjoy my time on Korea and on Kyushu. I will be going back in April to attempt the ride again, this time giving myself some more wriggle room to overcome any major issues I may have. Hopefully will also give me some time to start on a couple of other paths and make inroads into the Grand Slam.
