Long security lines at LAX TBIT this evening.

Pax are even attempting (unsuccessfully) to queue on the escalator.

Several airline crews are backed-up in the express crew lines.

Out of shot left is a repeat of what you can see here.

All being observed from the QF Flounge with a drink in hand cheers!

My last 5 times passing through TSA at LAX haven't taken me very long at all (3xQF, 2xAA, each time entered airside via TBIT, but bypassed the above line). Each time, I've walked past above that line and laughed to myself. :)

I had never thought of that, but it is genius. Thank you!

The departures checkpoint above the check in area isn't the only TSA checkpoint in TBIT.
There is also one on level 1, on the south side of the terminal.

Good to know, thanks!

and I expect, another one on the north side of the terminal in 3 or so years when the T3-TBIT connector is built.

Very interesting, I will be there in April. Cheers CM

Wow, oh wow. This trick could have saved me A LOT of time over the past year. Absolute genius, love it! Thanks a lot for sharing, this is what this entire site is there for (besides the occasional whinge or laugh)
