Second a/port for SYD news again.

Seriously which areas in SYD would have the highest proportion of people flights per day and do not have their fair share of the flight paths?
I would guess potts point, and whatever that sub urb is that hawke-ie lives in. Perhaps anywhere east or darlinghurst and north of coogee. But then don't the murdoch's (or the Myer's or some such family) have their remanents of landed genty mansion house in the area west of SYD and north of mascot/newtown?

We will have to agree to disagree here. The runways have always been there so the potential was always that they would actually use the flight paths and now they do. I have actually lived on several airfields so I do have a personal understanding of what people are saying.
There is also potential that our street will end up being a motorway in 35 years time. Does not make it right nor should I have to accept it.

At the risk of offending some more people I will not even comment on this one :!:
Was I offending anyone? I do not know the exact statistics but I believe that the people who do the most number of flights in Sydney every year come from North Sydney, North Shore, Northern Districts, Parramatta area, City fringes, Eastern Suburbs and Cronulla/Sutherland areas.

I believe most flight paths over Sydney suburbs affect areas West and South West of Sydney who end up flying less than everyone else.

The most people who fly each year actually come from the west/inner west, this was reported in one of the master plans a few years ago and backed up by transport data as well. A lot of the people who are affected by the noise actually work at the airport, as most airport workers/aircrew live within 15 minutes of the airport, I certainly did when I worked there.

I am not sure if many have seen this before in terms of the noise footprint: sydneyairport_heatmap.png (image)

ADL domestic and INT are current the same building.
:p:lol:

I think the hallway between domestic and international in MEL is big enough to also consider them in the same building.....

How quickly would airports be upgraded if the ability to walk (or freely transfer) between terminals was a requirement?

Just wandering as I wonder
