As a WP Y flyer it's:

  • 737 4A/C/D/F
  • 767 23A/B/J/K
  • 330 23A/B/D/G/J/K
  • 747 Front Aisle
  • 388 80A/K, 71D, 50A/C, 51H/K
I'd say there would be quite a few people with the same preferences.

.... What really gets my blood boiling is that I seem to be the only one who actually does this, as every time I investigate the person next to me they have invariably not paid for the extra for the seat. ....
The Matrix

Nope, not the only one - we'd paid for those seats on our flight back from the USA next year .. figured it was well worth the $20 each for those seats for the best part of 12 hours...or however long it takes.

Pretty much it for me......although on the 388 it go for 50/51 over 80/A/K and 71D. :)

As a WP Y flyer it's:

  • 734 4/5/6-C/D then exits
  • 73H 4C/D then exits
  • 763 24F on Int. Config, 23B/D/F/J (24B/D/F/J, 26B/D/F/J on ZX's) then exits
  • 330 23B/D/G/J then exits
  • 747 Front Aisle
  • 388 80A/K, 71D, 50A/C, 51H/K
Mine are similar to vec's.

Lots of PBO-PER on 717 so i dont have a lot of choice but prefer 1A or 2A up and back. If i get beat into 2A most of the time 1A wont lean back, thanks people :) I select A because the window wont complain when i fall asleep and drool.

Vec/Tony/Serfty,

Would you rate 66D/G as an option for the 388? And if so where would it slot in your list?

Those seats appear very good.

To pre-allocate it seems you need CL or some other VIP status/luck.

On the QF seat selection these show as bassinet seats, I'll do a test on Monday with an infant in a PNR

I assume these are "blocked" for couples with infant. Can try to find out.
My first 388 trip was in 66C on Nancy Bird, two weeks after it began operating.

I can assure you there were no bassinets on that wall. FWIW, the bulkhead in front of 66F/G covers the stairwell down to the crew rest bunks underneath.I

I do believe this lack of baby beds is due to being in the vicinity of the doors 3L/R exit rows.

Just looking on the seatmap of one of my upcomming flights and it does indicate infant   how bizar if the crew rest entry is there

I voted WP - exit row.

But in fact if on business and wanting to get off quick then it's as far forward as possible with an aisle seat, otherwise its exit row all the way.

Bit OT but regarding infants on the 388 - I couldn't select 51H/J/K online, even with an infant in my booking. Had to call QF and ask for the bassinet seats and after about 5 minutes on hold i was seated in 51H. The QF phone agent apologized profusely for the delay but explained that they need to get approval from a supervisor before they seat someone into the bassinet seats.

Personally have not sat in these seats but will check them out next month.

Row 50 is still prime in my eyes, especially if not traveling solo. Good legroom, no one reclining in front of you and fast off the plane to the dreaded LAX immigration.

I haven't sat in 66 D/G, so I can't offer any insights. (I'm just plain odd, I tend to go as far forward as possible even if it isn't bulkhead!)

Does this poll also say something about the number of WP on this forum?
