Thanks Mal,

Both Qantas and C/M/T show that I am now allocated to 11J on the Upper Deck.

However, points have NOT been deducted........yet!!! Or dare I hope its the elusive Ooooops Up???

Too bad I am leaving today otherwise we could have met up in Hkg for a meal or a drink!

Cheers!

Ric

NB: Points deducted now! Knew it was too good to be true!!

Not as many as Mal. :p

Hmm, I think I disagree with that :) Maybe we'll have to discuss one day.

The PE seat was nice. Plane was very full (1 free seat in PE section, rest of Y had maybe 5-10 seats spare. )

Made the trip a little more enjoyable. Not sure what status people were who were in PE seating, but CSM didn't chat to more than a few on the first trip through, followed by another trip through later explaining that it was the PE cabin, but that PE service wasn't part of the flight.

Blankets were PE and of course the seat too, but everything else was standard Econ.

AVOiD (Audio Video Often is Down) needed a reboot soon after reaching cruise altitude, then needed a couple more reboots after hiccups. Wasn't available for about the last 90 mins as it just stopped working and wasn't able to be fixed.

I think I have had 12 op-ups overall with 7 op-ups in 2008. :) Longhaul 5 QF, domestic 3 QF and short-haul international 2 CX from J to F, 1 BA, 1 AY....

I have a question about SeatCounter. Am I right in saying that if for a particular flight I can see all classes showing 9 seats available, that at this point in time there are at least 126 "vacant" seats on that flight ?

No.

eg 9 9 9 9 9 9 could mean one of the following (for economy)

There are more than 9 seats in Economy.
There are 9 seats left in Economy in total.
There is less than 9 seats left in Economy, but the airline is betting some people will cancel their tickets before the flight, so can oversell.

If all cabins are 9 9 9 etc, then the same rules apply as above, but for all of the classes.

no, it means the airline is willing to sell at least 9 more tickets for the flight. The fare buckets are not coughulative.
