I've just booked my daughter a trip with me. She is not a qff. I went ahead and selected a seat for me but of course wish us to travel together. I booked the seats at same time.

Is it just the 24 hrs. prior to flt. I can choose her seat? Can I call qf now and ask for seats together?

many thanks,
trish

Why don't you join her up as a QF FF member :?: If you do it through the Woolies everyday rewards scheme then the joining fee is zero.

Once she is a member then you will be able to allocate her seat via the QF web site as she will show in your booking.

Whilst she is not a member them ringing QF is probably the only option.

I am confused.

Are both people on the same booking? If so then there should not be an issue selecting seats for non QFF member when they are with you on the same booking. If on separate bookings then you will need to call Qantas to link the 2 bookings and request seats together.

For what it is worth last year I booked a Oneworld award for myself and my father (not even a QFF member) on the same booking. I was able to select seats for both of us on all flights including QF, AA and BA. We even sat in premium economy seats (with economy minus service) on 2 QF flights and had an op-up on an A330 PER-SYD.

Went to HK in March using FF points. Problem was we had to book them separately due to neither of us having the points for 3 bookings. Mrs 11sjw and 11sjw jr are bronze only (I'm gold) but by ringing QF I was able to have thebookings linked and choose seats.
