Hi all,

As part of a broader trip in January, I'm booked through a travel agent to travel SYD-LAX on QF4111 (AA72) , and then onwards to Omaha on AA metal afterwards.

Through the QF website I can see and select Qantas seats (on QF metal). Through the AA website, and if I use the AA Airline Reference (six digit alpha code), I can select a seat for LAX-OMA.

I can't seem to find a way to view seat availability or select a seat on QF4111 / AA72. This doesn't come up on either website for some reason.

Any hints on how I can do it myself - or just get the travel agent to do it for me ?

Cheers

I'm fairly certain pre-covid, you had to select QF marketed AA operated flights using QF.

If that's not working, perhaps the links between AA and QF are broken.

Are you booked on AA code for the LAX-OMA? If yes, then there'll be two AA record locators, one for each flight.

Yes its an AA code for the Omaha leg. I couldnt find two record locators though.

I ended up asking the travel agent to do it. Hopefuliy that seat allocation sticks.

ALso other oneworld MNB sites like Finnair will show (or used to anyway) the extra PNR info if QF won't be forthcoming.
