I checked in last night for a trip that includes a leg on a Dash 8. At T-80 I couldn't select any seats on that bit, but when I checked in (about 15 hours before takeoff) I was able to select a seat. It's been a while since I've flown on one, is that always the sequence of events? Should I bother trying to get a good seat on one at T-24?

Seat selection on a Dash 8 can only be done at T-24, i.e. when on line check in opens. Always worth checking after that until you get the seat you want. And then lose it when the plane type changes. :p (Applicable for exit row seats in the front row.)

Same goes for any Qlink flight.
