Hi All, just went to select seats for next Monday and must say I am disappointed with my choice as a newly crowned WP.
Looks very similar to gold choices
am I doing this wrong?:?:

Which flight are you on?

Have you also tried removing your QFF number and re-entering it?

Are you in J or Y ?

How far ahead is the flight ?

A simple answer would be that other WP (or P1) had beaten you to the better seats.

WP does not equal best choices every time if you're late to the flight !

Flight is 7 days away , but even the return 21days is poor choice
Y class

Or the other answer is that the system is still seeing the OP as SG, not WP. Having the number removed and re-added may kick the system over to seeing the updated status.

Call qantas tomorrow (during 'premium' hours) - ask them to remove you frequent fleet number , verify it has been removed, then have it re- inserted.

If not done already this should refresh the status in the booking.

Using the Finnair website's MMB (or RJ's) may do it, but if you want to be sure, follow Serfty's advice.

On a curious note, does this work in reverse when status drops?

It has been mentioned on AFF before that people did not lose their allocated seats when their status dropped and they still had access to same seats.
