Seems like the QF seat selection tool has a new problem - it's no longer possible to complete seat selection changes on a partially flown itinerary. This is particularly painful for T-80 changes.

Screenshot below shows seat selection for a booking containing four flights - two already flown and two upcoming departures. The drop-down in the top left correctly shows the two remaining flights for which seat selection should be possible, but the bar at the bottom shows "Flight 1 of 4".

After selecting seats for both remaining flights, the "Next Flight" button goes to a blank page and it's not possible to finalise any changes.

If anyone runs into this I've found it possible to make changes using the MH MMB portal. I tried several other partner airlines portals (inc AY, CX, BA, EK, UL) unsuccessfully.

It was working fine on Monday (and weekend) for my return flight albeit a single sector. Perhaps it’s a two or more flight problem?

I assume it wasn’t the same flight number? That was often a PITA on SYD-LAX-JFK. Same flight number but the equipment change at LAX upset the system. Never had that problem on AA or UA who often reuse flight number across multiple sectors.
