SCs posting immediately?!

How do you know? are you checking your qantas account fervently?
I knew because I would be checking seat allocations for future flights or other matters in my account and noticed the SCs and points increased and found it weird the first few times it occurred before the flight left.

Until Tuesday yes. Like some others posting before flight hand landed. Tuesday's MEL-BNE missing an action at the moment.

I’ve had SCs post before missing the flight. LOL.

Still having to wait the full 8 weeks to get Double Status Credits manually added. Others from the same trip automatically credited within 2 days.

There must be some glitches in the machine at the moment (at least for me). Domestic QF flights from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday still not posted

QF probably saw our happiness of seeing things post early, so to make it simpler and fairer the SCs will post late! :p

Had the same issue. My past few domestic flights SCs were updated the moment I landed but this week's flights were late, only updated yesterday (Saturday) for a Thursday Flight - still within the 3 days though.

Here is my question, however. My first flight was the one to change my FF status for the year, so if the points were updated instantly, I would have extra points as the FF bonus in my return flight of the day. However, they were both credited at the lower status before the first flight. Do I understand this correctly and there might be a few points missing from my account?

Yes it did, however the glitches as of late have slowed the process down.
I don't recall my flights ever posting quicker than 12-24 hours until recent changes.

Perhaps Qantas has fixed one of their inconsistencies?

If the flight is operated by QF - immediately,
QF number, operated by EK, 2 days within 48 hrs.
other OW, similar to 48 hrs.

I don't think status benefits from levelling up apply to travel the same day you reach the SC target, but rather after that.

Inconsistency prevails - my two QF dom flights last Sunday posted on Tuesday and Wednesday.

When flying domestically on QF metal, points and SCs are credited even before takeoff !
