SCs on QF codeshare - how long to credit?

And I am doing so - the last of my non-AA DONE4 flights will be done in December and who knows what next year holds for me...

Doh! My TA said that QF insisted on her changing the AA bookings to QF codeshares. Thanks guys. I will now be 80 SCs short of reaching WP at the conclusion of this DONE4 but I'll be able to make that up.
Good old QF ensuring they get the revenue again. It may be that you have a special corporate discount that requires use of the QF flight numbers, or they offer a special deal as a QF-only fare.

Yet another case of QF scr3wing over the punters. My annoyance with QF on this is growing daily!
In this instance is may not be as you suggest. I know our corporate agreement with QF used to include a bigger discount if we used QF flight numbers. Even on xONEx fares, the higher the proportion of miles that was flown on QF flight numbers meant a bigger overall discount. So it may well be that the passenger is saving money by having it issued on the QF flight number. And if buying a J ticket and receiving J SCs and points, there is little to complain about.

He did earlier say that it was on a DONE4

well if they have a corp deal as we had previously, the corp discount on the DONE4 would be more if he used the QF flight number.

I saved over $1000 off the list price of a DONE4 by having all bar the Trans-Atlantic flight on QF flight numbers.

But there was no "requirement" to use QF number, just some financial incentive to do so.

I have also come across the QF claim of "Cannot book the AA flight" claim with QF especially with AA codeshares on QF flights

Does the boarding pass show the QFF number? does your FF status show properly on the boarding pass? If so, then it is unlikely to be a problem - although I am sure some people will have stories about it still not posting even with the number showing.

If the boarding pass does not show your FF number and status, then the chances of it not posting are greatly increased.
I've had the situation several times in the past where the QF FF number and status was entered into the system correctly (AA flight #) yet it has not shown on the AA boarding pass. Points and SC's arrived at QF about 2-3 days later without me needing to followup. :D

It can be important to make sure your booking has your elite FF number entered correctly.

I checked in for an American Eagle flight on Thursday and the BP showed 'group 3' - it should have been 'emerald'.

A query with a check in agent who told me my ff number was "in the booking" and it was ok. She, after a bit of bluster, and prompting from me) eventually removed my ff number and reinserted it. Beauty! the BP now had emerald on it.

(FWIW, the Aeagle agents at JFK call out the EXP & Emeralds by name for pre boarding. ;) )
