Script for displaying Qantas Booking Flight Options Detail

Jumped onto this - like it very much! Nice stuff.

If I get the gist of it, it's basically showing information that is either only visible after opening a fare option, or hidden behind the code on the page, upfront without needing to click anything or do any acrobatics with the code. (The only exception is the currency conversion, which I assume just needs a live fetch and calculation in the background)

Looks fantastic... until Qantas decide to fundamentally change the structure of their engine, of course.

Yeah, it's a bit fiddly!

• Within Chrome, click the extensions icon at the top right - the jigsaw puzzle piece.
• Click Tampermonkey, then Dashboard
• Go to Qantas SC display and click "Install this script"

That should do it! It will be activated automatically the next time you load the Qantas booking page.

To update the script in future if I make any improvements, repeat these steps but instead of creating a new script, click on "Qantas SC display" in the list. You can then clear the code in the editor and copy/paste from Pastebin again.

Let me know if you have any trouble with these steps.

The info used to be static under a realised web page and could be easily extracted. However later versions would destroy this underlying information before completing the page load. I could see its fleeting existence using a web developer's console. I have not delved into this new script as yet but am impressed with the results.

I just realised that the script has been causing a major problem for me on the QF site on Firefox.
I posted about it here some time ago, but I didn't connect it with the script until just now.

I just updated the script to the current version, and it occurred to me that the problem I had posted about started at about the same time I installed the script. So I loaded QF with the updated version of the script enabled. Same problem.
I disabled the script and reloaded the page.
The banner was back!

When I say "banner" i mean the whole white strip across the top of the page with the menus and the login links which doesn't change as you navigate throughout the QF site.

In addition to losing the banner, I ha not been able to log in, even when I managed to find a work around to bring up a log in link without the banner.
I can now log in again.

I just cycled through disabling/re-enabling the script, and reloading the QF page a few times.
Banner disappeared / reappeared each time.
So definitely linked.

May be just an issue with Firefox?

I'd suggest there's likely something else at play here too. I'm using Firefox with the script enabled and no issues with the QF website. Maybe another plugin that' interacting with this script somehow?

I've disabled every extension.
I thought ad blocker might be a suspect.
No change.
I checked Firefox is up to date.
64 bit version 156.0

No need I sorted it.
The problem was I had Greasemonkey installed as the script manager, from previous use.
I disabled it and enabled Tampermonkey and all is good now.

Glad you figured it out! I’ll see if there’s any reason why the Qantas script doesn’t also work correctly in Greasemonkey.
