Hubby was parked there when we first arrived.

He took this yesterday.

This place comes with a washer/dryer machine and it takes a hell of a long time to do one load. Grateful for it but jeez, I wouldn't be buying one. Cottage came with laundry tabs as well.

That's typical of UK machines - no idea why but especially the older ones take forever to do a load of washing

So while I'm lazing around, doing not much this morning, thought I would post about Pearl Assist at Abu Dhabi.

Now, I know we could have easily negotiated the transit, it's very well signed and we landed/departed at T3 but I had a visa gift card so spent it on this as I wasn't sure if I would sleep on the flight (I did) or would be in the meltdown zone on landing.

We arrived at Abu Dhabi and when exited the plane, was met by Pearl Assist guide holding iPad with our name.

Basically lead through the airport back through security and delivered to the lounge. Later on, picked up from the lounge and delivered to the gate.

We were J so had priority security anyway but if flying Y you get to use the priority lanes (different area to the left of main security).

What I liked, basically led like sheep to get where we needed to go, didn't have to read signs or think about anything.

If my elderly parent/in law was travelling, I absolutely would do this for them.

Yesterday we bought a small loaf of bread at the corner store that was so good, today we went to the one woman bakery to buy more. So good, well worth a pit stop for some sweets as well (hubby picked the honey and ginger loaf for a sweet snack)

Manuela's Wee Bakery, and they do pizza during summer evenings.

Stunning! Love it.

"Sweet" Anniversary for me and Mrs Flashback tonight - just wrapping up our night, but doesn't look as amazing as your view!

Went back to the bakery last night to grab a pizza for dinner. Hubby ordered a calzone by mistake but very happy once he got into it.

The pizza business is owned by the daughter of the baker. No machines here, all by hand.

I enjoyed the thin crust and veggies. Because of the full breakfasts we've been enjoying, veggies and fruit is becoming desirable. This morning breakfast (had to do our own) inc Greek yoghurt and chopped apricots and bananas.

Today we move to the Isle of Skye. Im finally getting the B&B packing right. Essentials in my carry-on and a bag of drinks/snacks are all we take inside. Everything else stays in the car until needed.

I packed at least 3 shirts and 2 thermals each top much, but thats because I have access to do laundry. The B&B owner in Dufftown did our laundry for $15gbp, which I happily paid.

And toilet shot of the bakery toilet.

I noticed the "wee room" in your pics earlier, loved it! Good selection of gin, you should ask them for Caorunn though! Nice with a slice of apple :)
