Scoot to Launch Perth Service from late-December 2013
by JL
Update at 1025GMT 15OCT13

Scoot from 19DEC13 plans to launch service to Western Australia, with 5 weekly Singapore – Perth operation on board Boeing 777. Reservation for this route will be available on the airline’s website soon.

Operational schedule is now appearing in Amadeus timetable listing.

TZ008 SIN1250 – 1820PER 772 x23
TZ007 PER1930 – 0040+1SIN 772 57
TZ007 PER1930 – 0045+1SIN 772 146

I can see a day service being very popular with many.

Hmmm, quite a bit more than the $500 Rtn or so i paid for me and my boy on one of the J* specials a while back for Jan 2014...

Another nail in the QF coffin...will be popular for people taking flights out of SIN to Europe that leave late at night you'd think.

Cheaper to do a SC run to PER then go to SIN from there.

I wonder which arm of the QF group will get some action out of this or if QF will just white flag PER and stick to the east coast...

I did some prices up and sometimes to get from East Coast to West Coast could be cheaper to go via SIN on Scoot

Re: Scoot to PER

Looking around scoot there are some pretty cheap fares PER-SIN and return leaving Jan Feb Mar 2013. Some as low as $88 one way.

It will not be popular at all for this reason. Arriving at 0045 on a LCC, it would be a brave or foolish person to try and connect to Europe with < 1 hr between flights. The only flight that leaves at 0145 is the 02:30 departure to Moscow. Maybe moreso with those wanting a day time departure to Europe the next morning.

SQ392 to IST and SQ368 to Milan both leave at 0140, SQ346 Munich at 0120 might be a stretch.

I actually misread the schedule and thought it departed PER at 1250 like the old QF71 service. My bad!!
