Definitely only need a vignette for motorway use in Switzerland. Did the border crossing feed straight into a Swiss motorway as it does in Chiasso.

Oh that's interesting. We travelled from Italy through Slovenia into Croatia and return. Passport stamped both ways and no problem leaving EU (via Spain). I'll note that for future reference though. Plan to head back to Croatia next year.

I am back in EU and Croatia in a couple of months. Really hoping this is resolved!
