Scanner-proof undies keep passengers' 'junk' private

Airline passengers worried about new security scanners filming their privates now have a way out: anti-radiation underwear.

The undies, sold by Colorado company Rocky Flats Gear, feature cute fig leaf patterns over the sensitive area, with the leaves made out of material promising to "block natural and man-made radiation."

I am not sure this is going to help. If wearing such underwear and the Nude-o-Scope operator cannot see all they expect to see, I expect they are going to direct the passenger to a gloved colleague called Patty for the full-body touchy-feely experience. Wouldn't it just be easier to opt for the pat-down in the first place?
