You would think they would at least change the name/head office of the bank to somewhere away from Nigeria so more people could potentially fall for the scam.

Actually scams are so obvious in the hope that only the really gullible actually fall for it. If they send out a million scam emails, and it's believable enough that they get even a 10% hit rate, that's 10,000 people who they then have to vet to find the few out of that list which will actually fall for the scam itself, out of those 10,000 people each one would need a well thought out response to make it seem legit, otherwise they risk losing the people who would actually fall for the scam. By making the scam so obvious, and only getting say 0.01% of people responding, it means that out of those 10 people who have responded to the scam, it's highly likely that a few of them will hand over detailed information or allow their bank accounts to be used for laundering money with very little more proof or effort on behalf of the scammer.

My friend just returned from a visit to Nigeria, he reckons the women do all the work and most of the men just laze about in parks all day doing nothing. I agree it's a long time to be up there. I was certainly moved by Dr Tunde's email to me last year regarding his cousin's plight ( Post 45 ) but unfortunately I have been very busy and unable to help.

Nearly there the lads in Q IT are busy working on the next "enhancement" and as usual it will be a forward step... backwards, hopefully we can bring him back on a YASA or JASA or we'll have to ask Richard to collect him in one of his space planes .
