I've got a SC run booked for early next month. MEL-SYD-AKL on one ticket and AKL-SYD-MEL on another ticket. In theory I should be able to make the return flight as I am catching the turn around flight but only if I can transit in AKL and I don't have to clear immigration and I can get QF to issue all my boarding passes to me in MEL.

Anyone had any luck doing this recently? Tips and tricks welcome please.

If you are transiting in Auckland to another international flight you need to go to the transit and transfer area. Within the transit and transfer area you will undergo security screening which is required before you can board your next flight.

If you can get the return BP issued, you can transit.

They weren't doing this recently due to DPD/Vax checks, but that's all been dropped so hopefully they issue both ways.

I'll be testing this out again next weekend.
