Is sunset that much of a factor with the flight getting in at 17:20? I would have thought in August sunset would be around 7ish. I am interested as flying to Hong Kong on 25th August and currently we have 2a and 3a.
No so much the sun 'setting' as much as the sun in general.

FWIW, I'd take 12A.

.......FWIW, I'd take 12A......

I read that as you had now changed your earlier assessment where your 1st pick had been 12E.

The "storage locker" effect wins over the aisle factor ??

My mistake, flight is showing as A/9 F/9 P/0.

How popular is F on a Saturday? Wondering if a reward seat might open up closer if they fail to sell. Or could I try ringing up as WP and asking for a F seat to be released, and then do the cheap cash upgrade trick?

You can only request an F (P) seat for a classic award booking. P may release in the week prior.

The cash trick only works when there is P availability.

Definitely in Emerald City. (11-13).
Have done 11 and 12 mostly in A (I like the window) from Mel - LAX and much better than the main cabin. Toilets behind 13 and in front of 15. However "J" is "J", so just enjoy it.;)
Hi
So do you think if you scored row 11J and K that the bar is a problem noise or traffic wise ?

Grassmuncher - that probably depends on how much it is used on the flight. You would potentially have more foot traffic in that aisle though given it serves K&J.

Steer clear of 11K unless you have a requirement for a medical power supply.

(I once lost my 11 month allocated 11K on boarding as someone more needy than I required it.)

I have used 11A & 12A a few times. I think the R/H/S is busier due to the lounge. I don't see the bar being used a great deal. After all your in business, they will (should) bring you everything you need. The lounge is used more
IMO. Therefore I only ever go for the A seats. Row 11,12,13- doesn't matter.
