For those that like aviation its sad to hear Red Bull have cancelled the 2011 air race season, hopefully things get reviewed and revived later.

Funny quote on WAtoday.com.au

WAtoday.com.au said:
..."It is ironic the last event was the strongest of all four events we have hosted. The crash into the Swan River really put us on the map."...

If it's any consolation, I recently did a market research survey on this event... I think the specifics were supposed to be confidential, so I won't mention anything else here, but suffice to say all is not lost.

WA seems to have a knack for throwing away good events. WRC, Red Bull Airrace...

Agree with Flashware re: WRC, the WA Government dropping that was shameful and disgraceful. The WRC will never be cancelled...

I was more questioning the mention of the RB Air race in the comment, but you can add things such as the Johnnie Walker classic was another event that WA had, then lost, and gained it again. Not sure whether or not that is still in WA.

I am sure there are other events aswell to add to that list.

Ah, I hadn't read the article. I heard about it on the radio and they mentioned it like it was just the Perth leg, not that it had been canceled worldwide. The more you know...

Mr Beaumont was boring me this morning so I switched over. But I do agree with you that the way he was going about things made it sound like the Perth leg only.
