Buoyed by a 32% rise in second-quarter earnings, Ryanair reported a net profit of €424 million ($591.2 million) for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30, up from earnings of €373.5 million in the year-ago period. The carrier said that six-month results for the current period were net of €27.9 million in costs associated with the volcanic ash disruptions in April and May.
