Ryanair plans 'vertical seating' | Travel News | News.com.au

RYANAIR has revealed it is in talks with US planemaker Boeing about adapting its aircraft so that some passengers could be placed in "vertical seating".

The low-cost carrier, which in recent months has suggested heavy passengers pay a "fat tax" and travellers pay to use its on-board toilets, said it wants to get more people onto its aircraft by ripping out traditional seating.

Another shock "announcement" from the airline that brought you fat tax and pay per loo.

Talk about having the media wrapped around their little finger. All they have to do is throw out some crazy idea and they get free world wide advertising.

Another bit of publicity seeking by Ryanair. When will the media stop giving space to these brain explosions?

You are talking about the same media that feels a QF plane leaving 10 minutes late because the pilot wanted to confirm a safety thing is front page news worthy.

We were only discussing this recently and edison mentioned if Ryanair hears about vertical seats they will implement it.

Well well well ..... Ryanair finally caught the news :)
Now I just need to predict lotto numbers more accurately ..... ;)

Im thinking about some recent landings - in particular a JQ into Sunshine C last week - my knees would have hit my chin!

No to vertical seats and NO TO RYANAIR :!:
