Still it is interesting that the All Blacks managed to win with all that the Wallabies were apparently doing in every other maul. Or to reflect on Richie doing that stuff just being part of the game but the wallabies doing should've had them all sent off the field with red cards, or something like that.

Damn that was close. I nearly broke my golden rule and liked this post!!!

But back on topic ..... a neutral observer (if such a thing existed) might have commented that the Wallabies were a bit more "professional" than the ABs, but it was by no means a dirty game and the result was the right one. It was very refreshing to hear the freshly vanquished Wallabies say so themselves in the post-match interviews. No whinging there!

I guess you could mention that they nearly drew the series but were robbed by a horrific umpiring mistake, but probably belongs in the cricket thread.

It was a bad decision but I nor anyone else is about to get it changed, so I was over it in less than a day (in comparison to Tony Abbott and others we shan't name).

One could go back and say the Wallabies should have won the RWC but as Burmans says, no one remembers who came second?

Eg 2011 RWC France lost by a point and were the much better side on the day

They would have had to have beaten Argentina first
