A friend of mine (nah really) is travelling next month from PER and wants stops in NRT and BOG. I suggested he should start looking at getting himself oneway to SIN/NRT/JKT/MNL and start a LONE3/4 or Global Explorer or Circle Pacific.

He only needs stops in Japan and Colombia however i think he could better use a ticket with a East Coast Aus stop and maybe Broome and SE Asia? This is self funded so he is looking for cheapest option. No real preference to OW or *A and the PER-NRT-BOG-PER is only for 2 1/2 weeks so probably no time for fancy SC runs . I am thinking something like

JKT/MNL-NRTx-LAX-MIA-BOGx-SCL-SYD-PERx-BMEx-PER-SIN/HKG-JKT/MNL

Any advice for route options and cheapest way to ticket appreciated

[bump] Any takers?

Won't give you a route suggestion but in terms of pricing the cost of a L class OW multi-continent fare (eg LONEx , LCIRxx , LGLOBxx) starting from Japan, Indonesia, Phillipines is likely to bear no (fruit) substantial savings than the same fare if it was ex-Australia.

But then you would have to factor in the cost to make your way to (and back from) the orginating destination - either via points or a paid ticket , so thus makes it more costly than a simple ex-Aus fare ticket.

For OW fares, just visit their site for fare estimates.
