continents fare

These fares really are the best if you just want to screw max miles out of the coughs.
I had a trip last year as follows:
perth-brisbane,qf-sydney,qf-new york,qf-miami,aa-panama city,aa-miami,aa-los angeles,aa-las vegas,aa-los angeles,aa-dublin,al-copenhagen,al-surface-budapest-london,ba-ekaterinburg(svx),ba-london,ba-bangkok,qf-hongkong,cx-beijing,cx-hongkong,cx-tokyo,cx-perth,qf.

I had plenty of time, I know most of you don't. I agree that TA's often know little about these fares, and even mine who has many years experience told me I wouldn't get away with this. Both Panama City, Panama and Ekaterinburg, Russia just fall on the limits of their zones, and by using the QF flight from Syd to Jfk you get around the 1 continent crossing rule if you need to go to the east coast first for any reason. Eat less, and do more...............it's a fair trade
I have previously used the fare to get to both Ekaterinburg and Cairo without braking the 2 long distance rule from the UK, by routing with IB via spain.

So have heaps of fun planning, and don't let the tax amount ruin your trip. I know too many people who try to save a buck on a once of a lifetime trip, and then regret for the rest of their days!

just looking at my flight itinerary on virtuallythere.com site and for all AA flights its says Meal: Food for Purchase

Does AA now charge for each meal in coach ?

It gets worse cbert, the lounges aren't like QP, The only food for free is bread and prezels, and if you are lucky they may have some nuts and biscuits. Yo can purchase other food. Also you have to purchase the drinks, not forgetting the gratuities
