I wanted to post here and ask for any comments/advice from all you gurus before I book. Is this a good deal? Any seats I should look out for on these flights? Any other tips?
I have found a RTW airfare all in business class that seems reasonable to me. The flight was advertised on Best Flights and I have confirmed over the phone that my dates are available.
The total cost is $6837 (or $6850 if I choose a stopover in HKG).
I leave late Aug and come back late September/early October.
SYD-NYC (via SFO) on United - UA870
NYC-DUB (via ZRH) on Swiss - LX17/LX400
ZRH-SYD (via HKG) on Swiss to HKG (LX138) and on Virgin Atlantic HKG to SYD - VS200
Another bonus is that I can collect Singapore Krisflyer points as all flights are in Z class which (from what I can gather) earns me points.
The downside is I already have an AMS-SYD flight booked using KF points which I will need to cancel as I have had no luck in getting my other flights with points.
Any insight you can offer is appreciated.
