Last trip 4ABC all WP and 5C CL did not get a CSM greeting at all, someone in 5F did get one but that could have been a VIP

Similar thing happened on my flight back from MEL last week - I was in 4D with a CL in 4F and someone in 4E. No greeting for this P1 or the CL - although the CSM loudly announced that she was going back to see if mr and mrs [insert name] wanted a drink - mr and mrs [insert name] were in 5EF.

I'm 2 from 5 this year on CSM greetings when seated in Y. Very ordinary Jet Connect crew today.

I only mentioned it because the CSM specifically went down the aircraft, did greetings and offered papers to about 4 people. 4A - noted he was alseep, 4D offered paper. 4BCEF ignored - me in 4C, plat tag in 4F. 3 other papers were retrieved for further back in the aircraft. I saw at least 8 Plat bag tags during boarding. So it was a rare occasion when greetings happened but it seems WP didn't make the grade.

I'm 0/20 on Domestic Y greetings this membership year, but that's mainly 1 hour flights where it doesn't mean a great deal anyway?

I had another platinum shadow fail today, bringing my count up to near 90% failure rate :(

I had an empty seat next to me in 4D on my SYD-OOL flight yesterday. The lady in 4F was spoken to by name when served the snack and the FA asked me quietly how to pronounce my surname as she wasn't sure and did not address me by name while serving me.

Funny thing happened on that flight. I was last to board and have boarding pass for 4D. There is a lady sitting in my seat. So I tell her she is in wrong seat and she looks at boarding pass and she should be in 4C but another lady is in 4C and when she looks at her boarding pass she should have been in 4A. How could they get it so wrong or did they just sit in first seat that looked available when they boarded?

Knew row 4 had its perks but didn't know it was so highly coveted. I'm only NB but got 4C on my CBR-MEL flight this Thursday at T-80. Row 4 and 5 were completely open. My housemate is on the same flight as me, is also NB and she was able to get 4A, 4B had already been taken in the minutes between we chose our seats.

I've noticed they have a list of names and seat numbers when doing the meal service, eg on a post it note. So I suspect that is the more consistent "greeting" on offer. I have seen people mix up the seats when looking at the row number diagram. Thinking the A seat was an aisle. So maybe 4A boarded first and stuffed up, then 4C didn't want to rock the boat. I have also stuffed up between C and D a couple of times by relying on memory and taking last week's seat instead of check the BP to see this week's seat.

I was in 4D last Friday CBR-SYD QF562. Didn't get a greeting and didn't really hear anyone in the immediate vicinity greeted, either. However the WP+ (but not CL) guy in 4C must have been someone of political rank because the CSM spent several minutes on multiple occasions talking to him about the ... exciting events... in CBR on Thursday.

I felt like a bit of a nothing dressed in office clothes in CBR airport. Much happier in more comfortable clothes

Got a greeting on QF743 which made up for the lack of a shadow while seated in 6C. Before the "Hi, Mr Maomaocat, how are you?" during the food service I was pretty grumpy about the lack of leg space. Afterwards I was the happiest person on the plane!

What this essentially means is that since Row 4 is such a premium and gets filled with non-platinums...... Gold/Silvers in rows 5+ get the best seats on the plane with nobody next to them.

How's that for status devaluation? :)

Had this on my flight back from AKL last night. 4B shown as blocked right up to one hour before the flight. Person eventually sitting in 4B turns out to be PS. 4C is a WP + because he received the express card.

5B and 6B empty.

As an aside the crew was average, it may be time to take my Trans Tasman business elsewhere.

I had this rigmarole happen to me recently to. Guy is sitting in 13A (my seat). I query him an he gives me an indication he's actually in 13C (he wasn't), so I just tell him he can have winoow I'm easy going about it. Then the real Mr 13C comes along and acts like a total jerk, huffing-and-puffing and being a cough at which time I suggest to 13A he reads his ticket real-carefull-like (he was in 13F). He shuffles off to bother the pax in D & E while grumpy-dude and I enjoy our shadow in 13B.

Just got pipped at T80! Logged in right on the dot and selected 4D. 4C was already taken with a WP Shadow. Then when hit next I got a message saying that my seat could not be confirmed. Went back to see 4D gone. Had to settle for 4A instead. Ah, first world problems. But if it was you that just took my 4D, watch out. (QF786 on 22 April).
