On my way BNE to SYD tomorrow night..
I love being on the wing so I left the seat selection on 13F on 737-700.

But I always thought airlines skip row 13? Seatguru said there is no row 13, 12 is the over the wing exit and then row 14 behind that...

Anyone shed some light on this topic?

I've sat in row 13 at least once on QF. I believe that's one of the 737 exit rows.

I don't know a lot of airlines which are triskaidekaphobic w.r.t. numbering rows. Although I guess if row 13 is over the wing, that might say something :p

I do know, for example, row 88 on a CX 744 is very valuable (apart from the fact that it is next to the UD emergency exit).

Can't be 100% sure, but I believe Seatguru is wrong. I can recall a row 13 on DJ, and certainly you being assigned to that seat does imply it exists!

It would be nice if DJ had their own seat maps on their website...

A few airlines skip row 13. CX is one (at least on some models/configs). DJ is not one that skips row 13.

In a similar vein, when staying at the GC Sofitel last year noticed that they have a room 1408 - wonder if they have any trouble filling it?

Now that I have completed that terrible flight I can tell you that on the DJ's 737-800's row 13 is the row just(!) before the overwing exits. No recline btw.

Are all Friday night DJ flyers from BNE - SYD soo Dumb?? We had a group of people seated in row 5 board from the back of the plane(??) Then stand around for 15 mins !

We arrived in SYD - not to have a aerobridge - so they brought up a airstairs , They didnt bring them up high enough - the old lady fell out of the door and broke her ankle (sigh)

Dumbness in boarding is a much more widespread affliction than BNE-SYD flyers on DJ

In BNE QF actually bring the terminal up to the aircraft so you don't get your feet wet or your rug disturbed:rolleyes:

Had a row 6 do that on my ADL-SYD flight this morning. so it is widespread.

Also had the family is row 24 with 1 toddler and a baby, who were through the gate first, attempt to use the rear stairs. Pointless when your going o be first on the aircraft and your lugging all those extras.

Row 13 on the 737-700 as well, and the no recline in row 11 is shocking.
