Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

I baulked at the auto dos because of the cleaning issue of the autodos system and the autodos refills have to be bought from Miele
The auto open is great though - help with the drying.

We use the dishwasher about 2-3 times a day. Anyone same?
Once is enough for us.

When we got our beach place last year we decided to set it up as a second home as time goes by we will spend more time there. One thing I wanted was a dishwasher because we didn't have one at our river place and we'd always 'fight' each other to do the dishes so as to give the other one a break. But the glasses we could never get clean as the sink was so tiny. So I managed to get the plumbing in myself to install a dishwasher. I like to call it my utlitiy room in the finest of British spirit as it's separate to the kitchen. Now we argue as to who will empty it. But the glasses are fabulous now.

The other thing that makes glasses fabulous is salt and a dishwasher that releases dishwasher salt from a salt reservoir depending on supply water hardness. I’d rather that than finish aid
Ah yes. Reminds me. Our very first and ancient one was like that. Had to have a bucket of salt on hand. When it broke we bought a new one and just couldn't work out where the salt had to go.

We have only had a dishwasher in our lives for 20 years. Never understood why people used them. Then we moved into a place with one. Game over.

We once bought a new kitchen essentially for somewhere to put the new dishwasher, and that was some 40 years ago. :)

Dyson V7 playing up and not charging, just flashing red light. Contacted Dyson and found was out of two year warranty by 28 days, but unlike many, they agreed to send me a new battery replacement free of charge. Good service.

Inlike Brother who refused warranty after 375 days on a Brother printer scanner saying warranty was for one year only.

Take them to the regulator, goods have to be fit for purpose for a deemed period of time. Worked well for people with Apple devices (which are also quite rubbish)......

As you know the statutory warranty period is not defined by the manufacturer. The warranty set out be the manufacturer is called a voluntary warranty. The statutory warranty may extend past the voluntary depending on the reasonable expectations of merchantable quality given the cost and quality of the item.

Brands where I have had successful warranty claims past the voluntary period and where an extended warranty was not purchased)
Apple on more than one occasion
Aldi
bing Lee - a $80 rice cooker exchanged like for like after 2 years. Though cheap, it was a Kambrook and a rice cooker is expected to last for some years.
LG washer dryer

I need you to please talk to me like Im an idiot in regards to my oven wall tower and what do I want in it. I wanted a simple 600mm oven but rep suggested 2 x 600mm ovens and hubby agreed but I think 2 ovens is overkill.

Today we visited a store and I liked the single oven plus a "Compact Oven with Microwave". Is this the same as a convection oven?

Any help? thanks,

I def think a convection oven w pyrolyic self cleaning is a must for all traditional ‘ oveny’
Then
Get combi steam oven as it acts as an overflow concention oven and steam which dies everything (cooks rice/pasta/dehydrate herbs/roasts wontons etc etc).
I think a microwave oven is a waste. This is a convection oven w microwave. It wont do as much as steam-combi and you can buy a microwave for a few hundred$. Your steam oven does everything a microwave does in any case…

I got a Panasonic 4 in one a couple of months ago.
Convection, microwave, steam, grill.
Absolutely love it.

oven wall tower
If you don't have another oven under the induction, then I would get
1)Convection oven or there are microwave convection combo ovens.
2)steam oven

But combo ovens are not necessarily the way to go.
If you have space go with Convection + steam for tower. And separate microwave

Re steam oven I would not get it water plumbed. Non water plumbed better - Just refill the clean water reservoir and the waste water reservoir gets emptied from time to time.
