Help needed please. I missed the boat booking Classic flight award tickets to South America for next May. I can see award seats in business one way. Does Qantas allow me to book an award seat there and pay for a seat on my return ( and in a different class)? It appears that if I select book with classic flight awards I need to use my point for both ways.
Thanks

You would need to buy two separate tickets. Unfortunately there is usually a premium for one way international paid fares. You are not restricted to Qantas for the return

You could ring Qantas and ask if they would release a seat for you. Although if you don't have status it's unlikely they will but, if you don't ask you don't get.

Yes, but expect that paid one way flight to come at a significant premium.

Thanks everyone for your very prompt replies. You've saved me wasting hard earned point. Looks like my best bet is to save my points where they're used to their full potential.
