Correct #49 is the Basílica del Voto Nacional in Quito.

42 - Government House Nassau.
43 - Jaisalmer Fort.

Correct; but points deducted for not getting #45.

:) A bit obscure is #45. (Well quite actually.) Could be any partial image of a medieval church, Roman Forum, roman arch!

ok. Abbey of Sant'Antimo, Montalcino!

Bzzzzzt! #45 is a view of the Pantheon, Rome (the original intention of this thread was to post partial views of well known monuments :) ).

#48 is the Roman theatre at Merida, Spain. A soft spot for me. I was in Spain for work abt 20 years ago and had a weekend off and went for a zoom. Stopped at Merida for lunch and happened to spot the threatre and adjacent amphitheatre and had a visit. I never had an interest in classical buildings or history prior - this visit changed that and it has been a fascination for me ever since.

Anyway, I'll let others do some posting now, if they like :)

This thread is both most excellent and in turn depressing for me. It is most excellent because, well, it is just fabulous to see so many monuments and magnificent buildings in so many countries and it is wonderful to get away from all that covid stuff. It is depressing because it is a reminder of how little I have actually seen on my travels.
